“Coronavirus Crisis Helped India to Become Self-Reliant”, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the inaugural speech at the 95th annual plenary session of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) today via video conferencing. PM Modi in the meeting said that India should convert the COVID-19 crisis into a turning point towards becoming a self- reliant country. PM Modi also emphasized on creating bamboo and organic clusters in the North-Eastern region of India.

PM Modi also addressed the challenges that the country is facing currently, starting from locust swarms invasion, gas well explosion in Tinsukia, Assam and the cyclones. PM Modi also emphasized on the Aatamnirbhar Bharat and said it is high time for India to go vocal for local.

PM Modi also said that Indians are now saving around Rs 19,000 crores due to usage of LED bulbs hence carbon emissions has also been reducing in recent times. Farmers of the country have also got their true value & freedom due to the recent reforms and they can go to any part of the country to sell their products.

Prime Minister also said that the COVID-19 crisis has turned Indian people self-dependent and all the new economic reforms have been people centric and developmental friendly thus Indian economy has been reviving in a very good rate. PM also added that banking services have reached the weaker section of the society and our economy has become cashless due to UPI usage.
