Footballer & Firefighter Durlov Gogoi died in Baghjan Blast

Durlov Gogoi was a great football enthusiast and a former player who unfortunately lost his live in the Baghjan OIL blast. He was also a brave firefighter and the news of his death received a wave of mourn in Golaghat because he had studied at two of the prestigious institutions of Golaghat namely Golaghat Government Bezbaruah HS School and Debraj Roy College where he also represented their football teams. He also represented the OIL Football team as a goal keeper.

His goal keeping skills was admired by a lot of youngsters and his passion towards the game was immensely appreciated by the general public in his hometown. He joined the OIL as a firefighter and on Tuesday while on duty along with his colleague Tikheswar Gohain died in the major blast in the OIL well.

The sudden demise of Durlov Gogoi has been mourned by a lot of people and Debraj College Students Union has offered it’s deepest condolence on death of the great footballer and a brave fighter.
