West Indies wins the first test against England

In a nail biting test match West Indies defeated England by 4 wickets and took lead in the three match test series by 1-0. After 2000 this is the first win for West Indies on English soil. To win West Indies needed to score 200 in the 4th Innings and reached the Lunch break at 35/3, with opener John Campbell also being retired hurt. Roston Chase and Jermaine Blackwood got them off to a more confident start at afternoon session. Blackwood reached his half-century towards the end of the second session. He led the chase but got out at 95. Jason Holder and John Campbell, both took the team to a win with 4 wickets in hand in the last hour of play. Earlier, England were bowled out for 313 within the first half hour of Day 5, with Shannon Gabriel completing a five-wicket haul for the innings.

Cricket has been back after a long time as due the ongoing pandemic all matches that were scheduled had to be cancelled and the fans are happy that cricket is back in action and West Indies win have been icing on cake for the fans. Although all the test matches will be played behind close doors.
