Guwahati: A coal dealer has been allegedly kidnapped in Guwahati city of Assam on Friday evening.
The businessman identified as Arabindo Kumar Prasad, a resident of Bihar.
Reports claim that the kidnappers had asked Arabindo’s family for Rs 2 crores in exchange for their release.
Arabindo’s father Bharat Prasad has approached the police and lodged an FIR regarding the incident.
The police have detained one kidnapper identified as Prince Pranjal.
According to reports, Prince belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). He is currently being interrogated by the police.
