1 Held For Providing Fake Credentials For Recruitment
Guwahati: One person has been arrested by Dhing Police in the Nagaon district of Assam on Tuesday for reportedly attempting to obtain a police appointment using false credentials.
The accused allegedly tried to obtain police employment by presenting false credentials.
Officials informed that the arrested person has been identified as Mustafizur Rahman. He’s been charged with using a bogus computer diploma to get hired as a police officer.
He was taken into custody by police in Sonari Village in Dhing of Assam.
It may be noted that earlier on October 17, the CID had called approximately 100 applicants who had taken the Assam Police AB-UB exam. These applicants provided forged computer certificates.
According to reports, several candidates could be imprisoned for presenting forged documents. The examination for AB-UB examination of Assam police was held on February 20, 27 and April 24.
Reportedly, a total of 414 students had submitted fake certificates out of which 21 were likely to be arrested.
Many candidates who passed the test and are currently receiving training are present at the Ulubari CID office.
