Guwahati: One of the main suspects in the Sidhu Moosewala case, Gangster Deepak Tinu, eluded capture on Saturday in Mansa district of Punjab.
A manhunt has reportedly been started to find Tinu, who reportedly ran away after Mansa Police brought him on a production warrant from Goindwal Sahib Jail in another case.
The main suspect in the murder of Sidhi Moosewala, Lawrence Bishnoi, is closely associated with the gangster Tinu.
Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi musician and Congress activist, was shot and killed in May by unidentified gunmen in the vicinity of the village of Jawaharke.
Sidhu was transferred to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
