Guwahati: A speeding truck collided with a Tata Magic van on Saturday morning in Guwahati’s Lal Ganesh area, killing one of the passengers.
Reportedly, the truck driver was drunk at the time of the collision.
As per reports, after colliding with the vehicle, he attempted to escape, but the police caught him a few kilometres away.
The incident took place when the Tata magic van was travelling from Lokhra to Lal Ganesh.
However, the deceased’s identification is yet to be ascertained. The body was sent for a post-mortem by the police.
Meanwhile, Anowar has been recognised as the truck driver that was detained.
