Guwahati: An army pilot was killed and his co-pilot was critically injured after their Cheetah helicopter crashed in the snow-bound area of the Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
The helicopter crashed in the Baraum area of Gurez sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
The incident occurred in the Bandipore district. The location is near to the Line of Control with Pakistan.
The injured co-pilot is being treated at 92 Army Hospital.
According to reports, the two pilots belonged to Army Aviation Corps and were of the rank of major.
However, the cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained.
