11-Year-Old Mizoram Boy Enters International Book of Records as Youngest Certified Paragliding Pilot
Northeast Desk, 3rd June: Samuel Lalbiakhlua, an 11-year-old from the Saitual District of Mizoram, has made history by becoming the youngest certified paragliding pilot, earning a coveted spot in the International Book of Records.
Samuel embarked on his paragliding journey by attending a course at Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh, where he completed his first flight on March 16. Under the guidance of Varte Zaithanmawii from the Mizoram Paragliding Association (MPGA) and other National-level instructors, Samuel diligently completed the five flights required to attain Pilot Level 2 certification.
The achievement not only showcases Samuel’s remarkable talent and determination but also highlights the dedication of the instructors and the supportive environment fostered by the Mizoram Paragliding Association.
Excitingly, the recognition from the International Book of Records may pave the way for Samuel’s inclusion in the prestigious Guinness Book of Records, as applications are currently being processed.
