Guwahati: A 15-year-old boy has drowned to death in a river while taking bath in Kamrup district of Assam on Thursday.
The incident took place at Samaria near Boko town of the district.
The deceased has been identified as Mousam Bora. He was a student of class 9 at the Samaria High School.
According to reports, the minor had gone to the neighbouring Morakolohi River to have a bath.
Bora was washed away and drowned in the river while he was bathing.
Locals discovered his body when it washed up on the shore.
Meanwhile, Boko police arrived on the spot and launched an investigation into the matter.
