16 DNLA Cadres Flee from Camp in Assam’s Karbi Anglong
Guwahati: As many as 16 cadres of the Dimasa National Liberation fled from the camp located at Dhansiri in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
However, the names of the cadre members who managed to flee as well as the motivations behind the deed, are still unknown.
According to reports, the cadres left the camp since it was difficult for them to remain there.
Reportedly, the DNLA was established in 2019 with the goal of creating an independent nation for the Dimasa tribe’s members.
Moreover, 113 DNLA cadres had given up their weapons in December of previous year. The cadres were subsequently housed in a special camp at Dhansiri.
