19-kg commercial gas cylinder price hiked by Rs 209
National Desk, 1st October: Oil marketing companies dealt a blow to consumers on September 30 by raising the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 209, effective from October 1. This means that in New Delhi, the cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now start at Rs 1,731.50.
This price hike is expected to have an immediate impact on dining out expenses. Interestingly, this decision comes just a month after OMCs had significantly reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 158, starting from September 1, which had brought the price down to Rs 1,522 in the national capital.
Notably, this recent increase in commercial LPG cylinder prices follows closely after the government’s decision to reduce domestic LPG cylinder prices by Rs 200 for all connection holders across the country in August.
It’s worth mentioning that OMCs have been adjusting the prices of both commercial and domestic LPG cylinders on the first day of each month. In August, they had also reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 99.75.
