Guwahati: A 19-year-old girl is accused of having been sexually and mentally assaulted in Sivsagar of Assam.
The incident took place at Namti.
The accused has been identified as Babul Ali who is a businessman from Namti Chariali.
The victim’s family has reported the incident to the Nazira and Namti Police Station.
Ali is accused of physically and mentally abusing the victim, according to the victim’s family.
Yet, it is claimed that the police did not take the appropriate action or the case seriously.
The victim’s family claims that the authorities are shielding the perpetrator.
