2 Assam Youths Held With Heroin in Mizoram

Guwahati: Two youths from Assam were apprehended in Mizoram on Thursday carrying huge amounts of heroin valued at Rs. 6.4 crores.

The two suspects identified as Habibullah and Ansar.

Both of them were reportedly arrested at the Champhai crossing between Myanmar and Mizoram.

100 soap boxes were used to conceal the 1.289kg of heroin that was carried under a covert compartment in a luxury vehicle.

In the past, authorities in Abhayapuri found a significant number of illegal substances in a journalist’s scooter.

The journalist worked as a writer in a online portal and had 14 drug-filled containers which have been taken from his possession.
