2 dead; 1 injured in explosion in West Bengal’s Malda
Guwahati: Two people died and one other was injured in a crude bomb blast in Malda district of West Bengal.
The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Sofikul Islam and 37-year-old Fajrul Sekh. Both of them are the residents of Gopalpur area.
Reportedly, the injured identified as 19-year-old Alam Sekh is undergoing treatment at the Malda Medical College and Hospital.
Meanwhile, their relatives said that they were all engaged in the unlawful production of crude bombs in the Gopalpur village’s mango garden.
The district police and a bomb squad team arrived at the spot to do additional research.
It may be mentioned that there had been a string of targeted bombings in West Bengal that were directed at politicians.
