Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs in the state, Assam Police arrested two suspected drug peddler from Golaghat district.
The peddlers has been identified as Hazrat Ali and Marfat Ali. Both of them is a resident of Karigaon village is located in Kokrajhar subdivision of Kokrajhar district.
Acting on a tip-off, police official from Sarupathar conducted an operation in Panjan village and recovered around 34 grams of suspected heroin from the accused.
The Police officials further seized two mobile phones from their possession.
Moreover, the market value of the seized drugs is around Rs 4 lakhs.
It needs to be mentioned that the two accused had been dealing drugs for a long period.
Legal action has been taken and further investigation is underway into the case.
