Guwahati: Assam Police rescued two minors from Hojai district of Assam on Wednesday.
Reports said that a woman was transporting them to Delhi on the guise of offering them employment.
The Government Railway Police found the two juveniles on the Silchar-Guwahati Express and alerted the authorities in Lumding Railway Station.
The accused and the girls are both from Dima Hasao district’s Maibang.
The accused was allegedly planning to sell them off in other states while pretending to offer them jobs, according to the police.
Meanwhile, a probe has been launched and the parents of the minors were called to the police station for further investigation into the matter.
