2 Spaniards Killed In Hot Air Balloon Crash
Guwahati: In a tragic incident, two Spaniards died and three others suffered serious injuries after the hot air balloon they were riding in crashed in Turkey’s Cappadocia.
The crash was reported to be because of high winds.
According to reports, the incident occurred at 8:50 am (0550 GMT).
There were two crew members and 28 tourists in the balloon. It departed from a monastery close to the settlement of Avanos.
An investigation into the precise reason for the collision has been initiated.
Over the last ten years, the area has seen a number of hot air balloon-related crashes.
