Guwahati: At least two students from the Aarohan Academy were injured after their school bus skidded of the road and fell into a paddy field in Bokakhat of Assam on Saturday.
The incident took place in Kamargaon.
According to reports, the bus was on its way to school with students and skidded off the road when the tragedy occurred.
Reportedly, the school bus driver lost control and plunged into a paddy field while attempting to avoid colliding with a tractor that was travelling from the opposite direction.
The two injured students were admitted to a nearby hospital by Kamargaon Police after they arrived on the scene and received the information.
Police have also seized the speeding tractor and charged the driver with rash driving.
