Guwahati: In a spate of repeated incidents of boats capsizing, in yet another mishap, two women have gone missing after the incident in Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar district of Assam on Wednesday.
According to reports, the incident took place as a group of five people crossed the Sankosh River to reach the other bank in order to gather firewood.
With the combined efforts of locals, three persons were rescued.
The missing women have been identified as Ramisa Khatun and Safia Bibi.
Meanwhile, search operations were launched by the police and SDRF forces to trace the missing persons.
