Guwahati: As many as 25 persons sustained injuries when a bus plunged into a deep gorge at Golakganj in Dhubri district of Assam on Wednesday.
The incident was reported near Gorerhat area.
According to reports, the bus was travelling from Cooch Behar to Dhubri when it abruptly veered off the road and into the canyon due to an approaching bike.
The injured were admitted to a Halakura hospital in Dhubri for better treatment after the incident.
Reportedly, there were 50 people in the bus overall.
Meanwhile, local police arrived at the scene and recovered the bus from the gorge.
