3.3 Magnitude earthquake hits Manipur

National desk, 8 July: An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 struck Manipur near the Ukhrul district, in the early hours of Saturday.

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) provided this informed this. The earthquake had a depth of 70 km and was felt around 12.14am.

“Earthquake of Magnitude 3.3, Occurred on 08-07-2023, 00:14:10 IST, Latitude 24.90 and Longitude 94.35, Depth: 70 Km, Location: 13km WSW of Ukhrul, Manipur,” the official handle of the National Center for Seismology tweeted.

Earlier on Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale.

According to the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake was detected at Changlang at a depth of 61 kilometres at 12:55 in the afternoon.
