3 Blood Brokers Arrested from Assam’s Lakhimpur Medical College
Guwahati: Three blood dealers were taken into custody at the Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital in North Lakhimpur district of Assam.
According to reports, the three brokers are accused of participating in the sale of blood for cash. The brokers reportedly used to charge Rs 1400 for each unit of blood.
Reportedly, the Lakhimpur Police have detained the brokers in relation to a FIR that the medical college’s administration filed.
The arrested brokers have been identified as Manoj Sahu, Bijay Sarkar, and Ajit Das.
Meantime, the case is being further investigated through questioning.
