Guwahati: Atleast 3 children were found dead among the casualties in an explosion that occurred in Afghanistan’s Nad Ali district on Saturday.
Reportedly, the incident occurred in the southern Helmand region of the nation under Taliban rule.
The massive blast, the second in two days, also injured three other people.
Ahmed Jan, a spokesman for the provincial police, reported that the explosion happened yesterday afternoon in the Hiwad Bazaar region, killing three children and injuring three others.
According to Xinhua, which cited government sources, all of the victims were pupils at a religious institution.
Moreover, 18 persons, including a well-known cleric, were murdered in a significant explosion on Friday.
There were 23 other injuries from the explosion in Afghanistan’s western province of Herat.
