3 Killed, 15 Hospitalised Due To Food Poisoning at Rajasthan’s Ashram
Guwahati: At least three children have died and 15 others were hospitalized after complaining of food poisoning at ‘Apna Ghar Ashram’ located in Kota of Rajasthan.
According to reports, a total of 270 people were present at the Ashram and they were ill after consuming the ashram’s food. Among them 3children and 15 others died after consuming food.
The incident came in light on Monday morning after people started vomiting while some people did not wake up.
District Collector, Om Prakash Bunkar said, “Some food poisoning cases were reported last evening. There are three fatalities. As a precaution, 15 people have been admitted to hospitals and are now being monitored. The medical staff is on the scene. Additionally, samples of food and water are being gathered for research. Borewell water, in my opinion, might be the cause.”
The problem was examined by the chief medical officer, Bhupendar Singh Tomar, who stated, “Senior citizens, those with physical and mental disabilities, and others stay on campus. There are fifteen people being watched. The samples were collected. We have asked the authorities to start the process of obtaining licences for bacteriological and viral samples. We believe that the food poisoning was caused by waterborne pathogens because people who drank tap water were apparently suffering from serious diseases.”
