Guwahati: As many as three persons were killed and several others sustained severe injuries in a road accident at Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening.
The accident occurred after a speeding double-decker bus rammed into a divider and turned turtle on Yamuna Expressway.
As per reports, the incident took place when the bus was heading towards Delhi from Bihar.
The district officer Pulkit Khare reported that 30 passengers were evacuated from the bus and that three people died on the spot and more than a dozen were severely injured.
The injured were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment as soon as top district administrators and police officers learned of the incident.
