3 People Killed In Separate Road Accidents in Assam
Guwahati: Amid the Durga Puja celebrations throughout the state, up to three individuals died in separate vehicle accidents in various locations around Assam on Monday.
A two-wheeler rider reportedly died in Assam’s Golaghat after losing control of the vehicle.
The incident happened in Assam’s Golaghat district at Rangajan. The two-rider wheeler’s died on spot.
Debajit Bora was named as the deceased. According to witnesses, the tragedy occurred as he was attempting to pass another vehicle on his scooter when he lost control and crashed.
In another unfortunate incident, a freight truck slammed two motorbike riders, killing them, in Nagaon, Assam.
According to the locals, a ten-wheeler freight truck struck the motorcycle the two were riding from behind near the Downtown resort in Samaguri, Nagaon.
Papu Gogoi and Bipul Gogoi, two locals of Borhat in Assam’s Charaideo district, were named as the deceased.
In the meantime, the truck’s driver fled the scene after the collision. According to reports, the vehicle was travelling from Guwahati to Sivasagar when the tragedy happened.
