Guwahati: Three soldiers were killed and two others sustained injuries in an attack on an army base by two terrorists in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
The two terrorists who were attempting to infiltrate a military company stationed at a base in Pargal in the Darhal area of Rajouri were defeated.
Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone said, “Someone tried to cross the fence of the Army camp at Pargal in Darhal area of Rajouri. Exchange of fire took place. Additional parties despatched for the location, 6 km from Darhal PS. Two terrorists killed.”
The area has been sealed off by security personnel and more people have been sent to the spot.
The assault also occurs the day after the authorities in the Union Territory’s Pulwama area stopped a big catastrophe by finding a 25 kg improvised explosive device.
