Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old kid drowned in a pond in Barpeta district of Assam on Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported from Alopati village of the district.
According to reports, the kid accidentally fell into the pond while playing nearby and drowned.
The incident has created a depressing atmosphere there.
Later, the body of the kid was recovered by locals. Police also arrived on the spot in order to assess the situation.
