UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s Picture Defaced on Hoardings in Firozabad

Guwahati: The Uttar Pradesh Police registered two cases against unidentified individuals for defacing images of state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in several posters and hoardings of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in Firozabad, on Saturday.

According to Ravi Ranjan, the District Magistrate of Firozabad, the chief minister’s face was removed from three hoardings placed by the municipal corporation. He also confirmed the filing of two FIRs and the formation of teams to investigate the case.

After the incident was reported, police officers went to the locations and changed the hoardings.

“The CCTV footage in the areas is being reviewed, and action will be taken against those involved in this criminal act,” said district magistrate Firozabad.

Moreover, after the incident anger was led amongst the leaders and the supporters of BJP as they were protesting at the site.
