34.62 Percent Voter Turnout in Nagaland & 26.26 Percent Voter Turnout in Meghalaya Till 11 AM

Guwahati: Voter participation in the Meghalaya Assembly elections was 26.26 percent up till 11 a.m. on February 27, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The percentage of voter turnout was recorded at 10.55 per cent till 9 a.m.

Out of Meghalaya’s 60 Assembly districts, 36 are in the Khasi, Jaintia Hills region and 24 are in the Garo Hills region.

On the other hand, 34.62 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in the Nagaland Assembly elections up till 11 a.m. on February 27, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The voting percentage which is at 11.89% nearly doubled from what was recorded up till 9.

Voters have been rushing to the polls since morning 6 am on February 27.

Heavy security has been deployed in crucial constituencies to prevent any untoward incident. Although a stray instance of violence has been recorded in the Bhandari Assembly constituency under the Wokha district.
