Guwahati: Continuing the drive against cattle smugglers, sleuths of Assam Police rescued as many as 38 cattle heads from Goalpara district of Assam on Friday night.
The seizure was made at Krishnai town of the district.
The cattle heads were being smuggled to Bangladesh when it was intercepted at Krishnai.
An investigation to unearth further linkages is on.
It may be mentioned that Assam police has been successfully thwarting several such cattle smuggling bids across the state.
