Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, four children died after falling into a pond in Nagaon district of Assam on Friday.
The incident took place at Xutirpar in Juria of the district.
According to reports, the tragedy occurred when the children fell into a pond while they were playing during the day.
All four of the childrens were declared dead when they were admitted to the hospital, despite the fact that residents had found their bodies in the pond.
The deceased children have been identified as Rahima Khatun (12), Nur Nessa (15), Arsina Khatun (10) and Imrana Khatun (6).
The whole area is shrouded in a pall of doom.
