4 from Assam dies after rock falls on their car in Arunachal

Northeast, 18th November: In a tragic incident which occurred on NH-1 in Arunachal Pradesh, four individuals from Assam lost their lives when a large rock fell on their vehicle due to a landslide.

The victims, returning home from a religious program, were struck by the rock, resulting in fatal injuries.

The accident occurred between Muri Mugli and Gemi, leading to the immediate death of all four passengers.

The victims were identified as Nirmal Hemram of Habrabil Nepalpara, Reverend Christopher Hembrom of Srirampur, and Abhijit Hemram of Srirampur. The identity of the fourth person is yet to be ascertained.

Reverend Christopher Hembrom, a main speaker at a three-day healing festival in Upper Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh from November 15 to 17, had attended the event before the tragic incident.

The rockfall incident highlights the risks associated with natural disasters, emphasizing the need for preventive measures to ensure road safety.
