4 Including 2 Students Injured in Firing Incident At Haryana University

Guwahati: At least four persons including two students were injured in an firing incident at the Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak District of Haryana on Saturday, officials informed.

Police are reportedly looking into whether the incident involved a money dispute.

The firing incident took place shortly after Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, who serves as the university’s Chancellor, left the grounds after attending a function.

Officials informed that, three people are reportedly suspected of being engaged in the crime.
Meanwhile, the attackers were able to leave the area after the assault, added police.

SHO Pramod Gautam said, “Four people were injured. We are looking into who fired the first shot. Initial findings indicate that the crime was motivated by a financial disagreement.”

The SHO added that the injured people were immediately shifted to a hospital. He stated that one of them was critically ill.
