Guwahati: At least four school students died while 11 others sustained severe injuries when a tempo collided with a truck in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday morning.
The incident took place in Hatai Palki area of the district.
Students who had been injured were immediately shifted to three private hospitals and one medical centre in Nagda.
Four people reportedly passed away at Ujjain’s private hospital while receiving treatment.
According to reports, the people used a rope to help the injured get out of the car.
On Monday morning, the tempo driver picked up the students attending two convent private schools from Hataipalki hamlet. The participants in the tempo were in classes VI and VIII.
