45 new COVID positive cases reported in Sikkim
According to the Health Secretary, Dr PT Bhutia, there are 45 new cases in the state taking the total number of active cases to 112.
The new cases include six persons who tested positive in antigen testing at Rangpo, 15 who tested positive in Rongli, 21 SSB personnel from Rhenock, 2 from South Sikkim and 1 from Kingston, Rhenock. The Kingston patient is a civilian who had travelled in a GREF vehicle and is suspected to have got the virus from the driver who has also tested positive.
