Imphal ( Manipur): Manipur government has announced five day working week for government offices with new timings for summer and winter sessions.
The five-day working week will be from Monday to Friday.
The new rules apply to all state government offices, agencies, bodies, and public sector undertakings (PSUs), with the exception of vacation departments.
N Biren Singh, the state chief minister, made the statement while outlining his government’s 100 action goals during the first 100 days in office.
The change would take effect on April 1 and will align the Manipur government with the central government agencies.
It may be mentioned that for the summer, the working hours for the offices stated above will be 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday (March to October).
For winter season, the timing will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It needs to be noted that from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., there will be a lunch break in both the summer and winter seasons.
