Guwahati: Five lab technicians were terminated from Tezpur Medical College for obtaining jobs there falsely.
According to a hospital official, the medical college officials fired the staff for scheduling appointments using false information.
Speaking to the media, the principal of Tezpur Medical College and Hospital Dr Karuna Hazarika today informed that some disadvantaged applicants had gone to court after problems with the hiring process were discovered.
“They have been fired. A decision was made by a court on September 27. Then 2 were terminated right away. Re-verification of the other three nominees was mandated by the court. On October 26th, all 3 were fired after that. The lawsuit was brought in 2018. They are all lab technicians. 2015 saw their appointment,” said Dr Hazarika.
