Guwahati: Karimganj district police seize 504 grammes of heroin on Saturday.
In conjunction with the seizure, one suspect has been taken into custody.
“Based on secret intelligence, a team of Karimganj district police led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) found and seized 504 grammes of heroin packed in 43 soap cases near toll gate under Karimganj police station,” stated the district’s DSP Gitartha Dev Sarma. One person was detained by police, who also opened a case.
Under connection with the incident, the police have made a complaint, and additional investigation is in progress.
