60 People Sick After Consuming ‘Prasad’ In Assam’s Lakhimpur

Guwahati: At least 60 people fell ill after consuming ‘prasad’ at Nayanpur under Lakhimpur district of Assam on Thursday.

The incident occurred from Panbari village of the area.

According to reports, after ingesting the “prasad” that was given out as part of the celebrations for “Bhado” month, the people experienced nausea, stomach pain, headaches, and loose motion.

Food poisoning is thought to be the cause of this, according to reports.

All of them received medical treatment after the tragedy at the neighbouring Mahatma Gandhi Model Hospital.

It is also discovered that a small number of them have been released and are being counselled to receive care at home.
