Guwahati: A gang of dacoits allegedly looted a car dealer shop in Sonitpur district of Assam on Thursday.
The incident took place at the Dekargaon area in Tezpur city of the district.
According to reports, seven ‘Bolero’ pickup vehicles were taken from Mahendra car dealership.
Reportedly, the crime was carried out by a team of 15 dacoits after handcuffing two security officers at the dealership.
Meanwhile, police have recovered one of the stolen pickup vans from near Sulung market.
It may be mentioned that a search operation is presently underway to locate the remaining vans as well as the culprits.
