7 Killed After Elevator Plunges 7 Floors In Gujarat’s Ahmedabad
Guwahati: At least seven people have been killed while one person sustained injury in an elevator mishap in Ahmedabad of Gujarat on Wednesday.
According to reports, the incident occurred at the Aspire-2 building, which is close to Gujarat University.
The pulling rope apparently snapped, causing the elevator to fall from a height of seven storeys in the building that was still under construction.
The fatalities were all labourers working on the building’s construction.
They were identified as Rajmal Sureshbhai Kharadi, Pankajbhai Shankarbhai Kharadi, Sanjaybhai Babubhai Nayak, Jagdishbhai Rameshbhai Nayak, Ashwinbhai Sombhai Nayak, Mukesh Bharatbhai Nayak, and Mukeshbhai Bharatbhai Nayak.
However, further investigation on the matter is underway.
