Constitution Day , or the day marking the adoption of India Constitution by the BR Ambedkar-headed drafting committee, is celebrated annually on November 26. Constitution day ( National law day), also known as Samvidhan Divas. On 26 November 1949, constituent assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950, Which is celebrated as the Republic day.
This day is observed to remember the sacrifices and hard work put in by BR Ambedkar in framing the Constitution. He was appointed chairman of the drafting committee of the Constitution on August 29, 1947. BR Ambedkar is considered to be the Architect of The Indian Constitution .
