8 Suspects Named in Chargesheet in APPSC Paper Leak Case

Guwahati: In the ongoing investigation of a case involving the alleged leakage of the question paper from the exam held by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission for the post of Assistant Engineer, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a charge sheet against eight suspects.

The CBI opened the case in October on the request of the government of Arunachal Pradesh and subsequent notification from the government of India of the case recorded in the Itanagar Police Station Case dated September 10.

Ahkilesh Yadav, Taket Jerang, Tama Saroh, Thomas Gaduk, Tanyang Gaduk, Loth Ezing, Binam Jomang, and Talung Jomang are the defendants included in the charge sheet, according to ANI.

On a complaint regarding the alleged leakage of question papers prior to the written examination for recruitment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) conducted by APPSC on August 26 and 27, 2022, the aforementioned case was filed against a private person of a Coaching Institute in Itanagar and unidentified officials.

The complainant (a candidate) claimed that the accused (a teacher at the institute) had questions for the allegedly leaked examination and that he had done so in collusion with unidentified APPSC officials.

Incriminating documents and items, including fake or counterfeit stamps of the executive magistrate of Arunachal Pradesh, executive engineer, State Bank of India, hard discs, pen drive, etc., were found during earlier searches at roughly 16 locations in Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.
