Assam CM Sarma Hails Operation Sindoor, Says ‘New India’ Will Hunt Down Terrorists Anywhere

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has once again hailed the success of Operation Sindoor, asserting that it is a defining example of New India’s resolve to track down and eliminate terrorists across borders. His strong remarks came following a detailed briefing by India’s top military officials and amid growing nationalistic sentiment following the cross-border strikes.

In a post on social media platform X, Sarma lauded the Indian Armed Forces for their precise strikes that reportedly eliminated over 100 Pakistani terrorists and inflicted heavy damage on critical terror and military infrastructure inside Pakistan. He credited the success of the operation to the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“As I watched the excellent briefing by our DGMOs a short while ago, we remain profoundly grateful to the exemplary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji and our valiant Armed Forces,” Sarma wrote. He added that the operation “sent a strong deterrence that New India will track terrorists to the ends of the earth and eliminate them, no matter where they hide—on land, air or sea.”

Addressing BJP workers at the party headquarters in Guwahati, Sarma urged them to amplify the message of India’s rising global stature and military strength under Modi’s leadership. “Modi is not coming on TV. But he is holding a series of meetings. There is no immaturity displayed. He has shown how to lead a matured nation,” he said.

He dismissed Pakistani claims of retaliatory damage in Indian territory, calling them baseless. “We are all here, and if something were to happen in Punjab or Jammu and Kashmir as claimed by them, we would have known. The fact is that nothing has happened,” he stated.

Referring to Pakistan’s statements, Sarma called the neighbouring nation a “fragile and failed state” and contrasted it with India’s civilisational depth and emerging leadership. “India is the oldest civilisation and Modi is leading it,” he declared.

He concluded by calling on BJP karyakartas to engage the public with facts about India’s global rise. “We are in a position now which other nations want to emulate,” Sarma said, reinforcing the message of national pride and strategic strength.
