Tak Soi Bridge Inaugurated in Arunachal’s Leparada, Enhancing Historic Connectivity to Pasighat
Leparada — In a major infrastructural breakthrough for Arunachal Pradesh, the long-anticipated 40-meter RCC span bridge at Tak Soi under the Ego-Koyu-Pasighat Road was formally inaugurated today at Zirdo Village in the Dari Circle of Leparada district.
The bridge was inaugurated by MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi of the Basar-Tirbin Assembly Constituency, in the presence of Leparada Deputy Commissioner Atul Tayeng, heads of departments, local officials, and contractors. The event was marked by a strong sense of community pride and development optimism.
The newly constructed bridge replaces an old, vulnerable crossing and reinstates a vital historic route dating back to the British era, significantly enhancing road connectivity between Leparada and Pasighat. Crucially, it serves as an alternate lifeline during disruptions on the Ego-Likabali road, and is expected to reduce travel time to Pasighat Airport, the nearest air link for the region.
MLA Jini hailed the project as a “symbol of resilience and unity” and praised the Shivam Company and its contractors for executing the project efficiently. He also lauded their community contributions, including financial support to local women and youth, which he said reflects true corporate social responsibility.
Jini credited the Galo Welfare Society (GWS) for first proposing the project in 2021, stating, “Their proactive efforts were foundational in making today’s inauguration possible.”
“This bridge isn’t just concrete and steel—it’s a promise of better livelihoods, faster access, and a more connected future for our people,” Jini said in his closing remarks.
The completion of the Tak Soi bridge marks a pivotal step in Leparada’s infrastructure evolution and is expected to catalyze further developmental initiatives in Arunachal Pradesh’s interior regions.
