India Sends Strong Message Against Terrorism with Seven All-Party Delegations

National: The Indian government has announced the formation of seven all-party delegations, comprising 51 members from various political parties, to travel to world capitals and convey India’s firm stance against terrorism. This initiative comes in the backdrop of Operation Sindoor, a significant step taken by India to tackle terrorism.

The delegations, led by prominent leaders from different parties, will visit a total of 32 countries and the EU headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Each delegation consists of seven or eight political leaders and is assisted by former diplomats. The leaders include BJP’s Baijayant Panda, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Sanjay Kumar Jha from JDU, Shrikant Shinde from Shiv Sena, Shashi Tharoor from Congress, Kanimozhi from DMK, and Supriya Sule from NCP-SP.

The 51-member delegation comprises 31 members from the ruling NDA and 20 members from non-NDA parties. Former Union Ministers, including Ghulam Nabi Azad, M J Akbar, Anand Sharma, and Salman Khurshid, are also part of the delegations.

The seven delegations will visit different countries, including:

– Group 1, led by Baijayant Panda, will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria.

– Group 2, led by Ravi Shankar Prasad, will visit the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Denmark.

– Group 3, led by Sanjay Kumar Jha, will visit Indonesia, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Japan, and Singapore.

– Group 4, led by Shrikant Eknath Shinde, will visit the UAE, Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone.

– Group 5, led by Shashi Tharoor, will visit the US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia.

– Group 6, led by Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, will visit Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia.

– Group 7, led by Supriya Sule, will visit Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized that the delegations will reflect India’s collective resolve against terrorism, with the message of “One Mission, One Message, One Bharat.” The delegations will convey India’s policy of zero tolerance against terrorism to the international community.
