Guwahati: A distressing accident on TP Road in Gossaigaon town, Assam, has left Sanjiv Dutta, the Secretary of the BJP’s Saraibil Mandal Committee, in a critical condition. The incident, which occurred on May 18th, involved Dutta’s scooter colliding with a stray cow, resulting in severe injuries.
The impact of the collision threw Dutta from his scooter, causing him to sustain significant trauma. Local residents, alerted by the sound of the crash, quickly responded and transported him to Gossaigaon RNB Hospital. Medical professionals at the hospital, assessing the severity of his injuries, determined that he required specialized care and subsequently referred him to a medical facility in Cooch Behar, West Bengal.
Dutta, who is currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, is reportedly receiving intensive medical treatment. Prior to his involvement in local politics, Dutta held a position as a journalist for a regional news channel. He is also known in the community as the proprietor of SD Mart, a local business situated on TP Road.
