Guwahati: In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old girl allegedly took her own life by hanging herself at her residence in Assam’s Kamrup district today.
The incident took place in Kachari Solmari village of Rangia Subdivision.
According to her family, the girl was subjected to mental harassment by her boyfriend identified as Jitu Ali, who repeatedly threatened to viral her obscene photos and videos.

Following the incident, the girl’s father has lodged a complaint against Jitu Ali at the Rangia police station, seeking justice for his daughter’s death.
